Slovenian Medical Students' International Committee

Exchanges

IFMSA exchanges

We organise 4 week professional (SCOPE) and research (SCORE) exchanges that run under International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) and are  the world’s largest and oldest medical students exchange programs. Each year, more than 15.000 medical students embark on a journey to explore health care delivery and health systems in different cultural and social settings.

Accepting more than 170 incoming students annually, we are a small NMO with a big spirit and a long tradition of being a part of the IFMSA exchanges.

We offer SCOPE and SCORE exchanges during all months in two LCs: the cities of Ljubljana and Maribor.

LJUBLJANA

Slovenia's capital and largest city also happens to be one of Europe's greenest and most liveable capitals. Car traffic is restricted in the centre, leaving the leafy banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, which flows through the city's heart, free for pedestrians and cyclists. In summer, cafes set up terrace seating along the river and in winter, snowy slopes are only half an hour's drive away.

MARIBOR

Maribor is wonderfully nestled in the embrace of the green Pohorje Mountains on one side and the picturesque wine-growing hills on the other. The city is located by the Drava River and the heart of the old city centre is filled with pedestrianised central streets buzzing with cafes and student life.  It boasts with the oldest wine tree in the world as well as a ski resort within the city!
